Budinger has been very consistent lately.
It’s Week 18 in the 2009-10 NBA season, and with just seven more weeks remaining, it’s important to make the final moves that will have your fantasy roster set for the playoffs.
There are plenty of guys that have been impacted by the trades pulled last week, working both negatively and positively.
Read on for the top available players on your waiver wire, with each guy being obtainable in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Note: Pick up Andray Blatche immediately.
Al Thornton, F, Washington Wizards (Available in 53% of leagues)
Thornton has found himself a solid role in Washington since coming over in a trade from Los Angeles a few days ago.
Thornton has topped at least 10 points in all three games with Washington, while topping 17 points twice. As long as he continues to average over 28 minutes per game, he will hold solid value at the forward spot.
C.J. Watson, G, Golden State Warriors (75%)
Watson has been getting solid minutes all season, but has recently emerged in the last few games, shooting the ball at least 10 times in his past four games.
Watson had a break-out performance with 40 points, six assists, and seven rebounds three games ago, and has also topped at least 15 points in his past four games.
He’s getting great minutes and good looks on offense, making him a solid utility add for most rosters.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, C, Free Agent (73%)
Ilgauksas hasn’t logged a single minute with Washington, and isn’t expected to, as he’s reportedly nearing a buy-out.
But wherever Ilgauskas goes, there’s a good chance his services will be needed, and that he’ll get some decent grind in preparation for the playoffs.
He’s no lock to make a killing in fantasy, but if he can get back to the minutes and production he was putting up last season, then he’d be a solid addition as a center to any fantasy roster.
Eddie House, G, New York Knicks (83%)
Nate Robinson is gone, which left the door open for House (who was acquired in the trade from Boston) to take over that same role, and he has done exactly that.
House doesn’t have very good point guard skills, but has always been a fantastic combo guard in the NBA, and has jumped into his new role with ease, averaging 15 attempts and 17 points in his first two games with the Knicks.
He’s also averaging 34 minutes, so it looks like he’ll keep a strong role off the bench. House can thrive in Mike D’Antoni’s offense, so he could be a great add if you’re hurting at the guard spot.
Chase Budinger, G/F, Houston Rockets (96%)
Budinger has been solid over the past five games, and even with the addition of Kevin Martin, he’s still kept his minutes and has even gotten more consistent in the offense.
Budinger has dropped in at least 10 points in five straight contests, while registering 18 points in his most recent game.
Keep an eye on his minutes in relation to Kevin Martin, but Budinger has proven he’s too solid (even for a rookie) to reduce his minutes, making him a worthy add in deep leagues.

Korver's minutes are increasing.
Kyle Korver, G/F, Utah Jazz (97%)
Korver has seen extended action due to an injury to Andrei Kirilenko, and recently scored 13 points in his last game, where he logged 28 minutes.
Kirilenko should be back by the end of the week, but with Ronnie Brewer gone to Memphis, Korver’s minutes should stay up above 20 per game, and he should start to see a more consistent role in the offense.
