It has been reported that the have reached an agreement on a three-team deal involving six players, which will bring Washington star forward Antawn Jamison to Cleveland.

The report, which has surfaced from league sources with knowledge of the talk, informed Yahoo! Sports of the trade.

The reported trade has the Cavaliers bringing in Jamison, while shipping off center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and a first round pick to the . The Wizards will also receive Brian Skinner and Al Thornton from the .

The Cavaliers will also acquire point guard Sebastian Telfair from the Clippers, while the Wizards will send forward Drew Gooden (who they just acquired in a recent trade) to the Clippers.

After hearing back and forth talk for week about whether or not the Cavaliers would even make a move before the trade deadline, the report of Jamison going to Cleveland is a relief to the Cleveland fan base, which had been quietly (or not so quietly) pulling for a big move.

Jamison should help solidify an already extremely strong inside game, as well as add on to the team’s already stellar outside shooting.

The Cavaliers had been urged by LeBron James to add some star-power for years, and after adding Shaquille O’Neal in the offseason, many believed it would take just one more bold move to convince James that the franchise is serious about winning.

While this bold move doesn’t ensure James will stay on with the Cavaliers once he hits free agency, it all but locks up a trip to the NBA Finals.
