There have been conflicting reports on Barber’s status all week long, but even the Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, is finally admitting that Barber is doubtful for the prime-time game.
The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the Cowboys are playing it “conservative” with Barber, most likely because they have two quality back-ups ready to step-up in his place.
While this is bad news for Barber owners, if you already had either Felix Jones or Tashard Choice as a hand-cuff, you’re sitting pretty.
Jones delivered a solid performance against the Giants in week two, and should see a major rise in touches, both as a runner and a receiver. Choice is expected to take over Jones’ regular duties, and could be seen on third downs and possibly in the red-zone.
It’s TRZR‘s strong suggestion that you ride with Felix Jones over Barber, and even take a chance on Choice as an alternative if he’s available on your waiver wire.
With both Dallas runners facing a very soft Carolina run defense, Dallas could be in for an explosive offensive display.
