1. ()

Very productive and a hard worker. A solid wrap-up tackler, who also is known for delivering some big hits. Isn’t a ball hawk, but finds himself around the ball enough to make plays. Isn’t a freak athlete and lacks great timed speed. Doesn’t always take the proper angles, and can miss tackles due to over-anticipation. Did not face elite competition, either.

2. ()

Has good hands and ball skills, as well as above-average athleticism. Is a ferocious hitter that strikes fear into his opponents. Doesn’t always take good angles, and appears slow to react at times. Missed a lot of tackles.

3. ()

Very productive (11 INT) in his final two seasons. Has great hands and solid ball skills. Has solid versatility, allowing him to play almost any position in the secondary. Not an elite athlete, but has solid speed. Isn’t strong enough to be a consistent force in run support. Has durability issues.

4. ()

A very reliable tackler who can deliver the big hit. Very athletic, with fluid hips, as well as a great burst. Has a ton of experience against top-level competition. A bit under-sized, with only average speed. Tends to be a bit overly aggressive.

5. David Bruton ()

Very physical and well-rounded athlete. Does a great job in run support, and is a solid tackler. Has terrible hands, and drops a lot of interceptions. On the other hand, he is a great ball hawk and is constantly in the position to make a big play.

6. Michael Hamlin ()

Tough and physical safety with great natural instincts. Has a ton of experience in the ACC, and was very productive, especially in his senior season (110 tackles, 6 INT). Only has average athleticism and timed speed. Has limited range and isn’t always fluid in his motions. Has trouble shedding blocks.

7. ()

Is an outstanding tackler who can deliver the big hit, and is also stout in run support. Has good range and is very aggressive. Only has average speed. Doesn’t make a ton of plays. Possesses only average hands and ball skills. Not a very fluid player.

8. ()

Very athletic safety with smooth, fluid movements. Has great range and excellent leaping ability. Can really go up and fight for the ball. Isn’t overly physicaly, and probably won’t ever become a great hitter. Not much of a play-maker, either.

9. Courtney Greene ()

Has great instincts and solid athleticism. Very strong and durable. Has the ability to deliver the knockout hit. Not a sound tackler, and not overly fast. Almost never recovers once he’s originally beaten. Has poor hands and ball skills.

10. Otis Wiley ()

Very athletic with great height and bulk. A very good leaper with soft hands and solid ball skills. Is very versatile and can aid the run defense. While he is multi-talented, he tends to be very inconsistent. Timed speed is only average, and doesn’t have a great burst. Durability is a mild concern.
