Blogpoll Ballot Week 10

Is Texas Tech #1 in my blogpoll ballot after their 39-33 win over Texas?

There’s a new #1 atop my blogpoll ballot this week. Texas Tech beat Texas in a thriller on Saturday night, and the Red Raiders are now in that coveted (and slippery) #2 spot in the BCS.

However, I’m holding off on putting Texas Tech at #1 until at least next week. If Alabama has trouble with or loses to LSU, and Tech takes care of business against Oklahoma State, the Red Raiders will go into Norman #1 in my book, and from the looks of it, at least the AP poll as well.

Below the Crimson Tide and Red Raiders, it’s an automatic that Penn State is at #3, right? Not so much. Sure, Florida has that glaring home loss to Ole Miss (who’s now 5-4 and approaching bowl eligibility), but the Gators have won their four games since by 31, 30, 58, and 39 points, with two top-15 teams in Georgia and LSU being tossed aside with ease as if they were Georgia Southern and Southeastern Louisiana. Best team in the country right now? Just might be.

And as for Texas? Well, I still think they’re pretty darn good.

Rank Team Delta
1 Alabama 1
2 Texas Tech 4
3 Florida 2
4 Texas 3
5 Penn State 2
6 Oklahoma 2
7 Southern Cal 1
8 Oklahoma State 4
9 Utah
10 Boise State
11 TCU 2
12 Ohio State 1
13 Missouri 1
14 Georgia 7
15 Ball State 1
16 LSU 2
17 Brigham Young 3
18 North Carolina 3
19 Michigan State 3
20 Florida State 5
21 West Virginia 5
22 Georgia Tech 4
23 Maryland 1
24 California 2
25 Minnesota 6

Dropped Out: Tulsa (#17), Oregon (#23), Louisville (#25).

Some Texas fan bet that he’d sing the Tech fight song and post it on Youtube if the Horns lost. This video is painful.
